Nutritional Counseling
Nutrition is the biggest component in achieving optimal
health and longevity. It enhances every
part of our lives by providing more energy, preventing illnesses, and giving us
the building blocks in enabling us to achieve our goals. It’s very important to understand that this
is not a diet but rather a lifestyle change. It’s about utilizing foods that you prefer and
that are convenient with your everyday schedule.
Upon meeting with our staff, you’ll be provided a 1.5 hour lifestyle and nutrition consultation. This will give us a full background of your past nutritional habits, exercise regiments, medical history, and your personal goals. This will ensure that your training is individualized towards your specific needs and is not just a cookie cutter approach.
We’ll provide you with a customized nutritional meal plan based on your body composition and lifestyle factors. Some of the measurements gathered will include your weight, body fat, fat mass, and lean muscle tissue. This will tell us how many calories you need per one pound of body-weight and lean mass. We’ll use these measurements to create your individualized meal plan with the correct percentage of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. We’ll also take you to the grocery store where you’ll get a crash course in understanding the layout of the aisles, healthy food options, understanding nutritional labels, and what to look for in the ingredients. This will be a great experience that will change the course of your life!
